Are there cycles of production and consumption? Do crafts or food spoil/rot?

Yeah different stuff goes bad at different rates. A lot of magic and tech advances involve preserving stuff, too. Still debating jarring and canning as things. Need a lot of metal and glass I guess. I know some North African societies did some shit with sealed clay stuff, too, looking into replicating that.

Can you tell me more about the communication details? For example, is there such a thing as a printing press?

Very simple/early printing presses as a very high end technology.

Communication or detailed information transmission/storage? Those are different things. The first is discussed in other posts and not super relevant here. For the second there are memorization/training, and written options as noted in this post. And magical information storage like memory/knowledge crystals. But that's very high end and mostly for magical secrets.

Well aside from alchemy, there's a variety of spells available, some of which can be the structure of an enchantment. So a lot? Populations don't have individual health info, just a health level, which would be modified by access to herbalism, alchemy, healing magic, and relevant amenities like plumbing.
